Hi guys, sorry for my bad english in advance.
I have a problem with simulating fluid (in my case water) hitting wall. I'm doing simulation about high pressure water jet usage in coal mining, so I need to know the value of pressure at the wall (coal face). Seems easy, but something seems not right. I declared this wall as no slip and I got a nice stream of high pressure water hitting it, but the amount of pressure recorded at the wall is way too low (than it should be). So maybe can someone tell or hint me what may be wrong with it, maybe using some other boundary conditions or really anything?

Not an expert, but doing something similiar.

I had made a silly mistake of looking for pressure distribution at the wall and found it to be quite less. The problem was my water jet hadn't really reached the wall..!!

What are your boundary conditions and which solver are you using ?

CFX solver, I tried different inlet options, all of them generate about 500 m/s behind jet end. For wall I'm just using no slip condition. Distance from jet end to wall is 7 cm, so it must generate something

What are your other parameters ? Turbulence model ? Initial Pressure values ? Time step ? No of iterations ?
