Law of the wall

Hi,

I'm looking for information or bibliography in order to adaptat le law of the wall (stress equation very closed to the wall) in fonction of the nature of the wall (smooth, rought, wet, ...)

Could of give me informations or reference on that topics.

Is there somebody who knows how to modelized with accuracy turbulent flow in biological ducts, like nose for exemple

thanks a lot

Re: Law of the wall

(1). The fundamental law of the wall information can be found in the boundary layer theory book by Schlichting, published by McGraw Hill company. (2).The exact implementation of the method varies, depends on the numerical formulations and turbulence models used. In this area, you will have to look for specific papers in turbulence modeling. There is a book on turbulence modeling by Wilcox, which can be found in the resources section of this website. (3). In many cases, the actual implementation of the law of the wall in the "code" was not revealed in the publications. (it is on the black-art side, especially when dealing with additional turbulence parameters or variables.)
