Hello,
For a incompressible flow case( simple channel flow), i took BC of inlet as velocity inlet, u = cont, v =w =0. For outlet, BC is pressure outlet, static pressure 0. My question is for outlet how the BCs for u v w are treated ? Is it delu/delx = delv/delx = delw/delx = 0 ? Thanks |

fixing at the outlet a homogeneous Neuman bc.s as numerical condition for the velocities is acceptable for low Re flows where you can suppose no further relevance in the velocity variation. However, the outlet must be enough far to let the two boundary layer developping and create a fully developed flow.

Hello Mr FMDenaro,
Thanks for your reply. The simulations are for laminar regime. Regards |
