many particles modeling, help

Hi everybody I will try to model the flow of many (small) particles in a fluid near a surface and I am surveying the available software. I would like initially to simulate the fluid as a pseudo-homogeneus fluid but I think that the final goal is to simulate the particles in a discrete element-like approach (tracking of each particle). I would like to know if somebody has some experience in this kind of simulation and which software do you think that can handle this problem.

Thanks in advance for any help

Best regards Arturo

Maybe you can try the method of SPH (smoothed particle hydrodynamics)
