Why? Preferred droplet track in Two-Phase flows

We have analized droplet tracks with the Lagrange model in Star-CD and we have found a preferred direction of the moving droplets, which fly vantaged through cellcenters and avoid crossing cellborders if there is a small angle between droplet motion and cell orientation. What is the reason for this effect? Thank you for your help. Maurice

Hi, Maurice,

I do not know. But this effect is a good reason to try another software :).

Star-CD should have a support team. Did you ask them?

Sergei

I think you will get better response by posting this in STAR-CD forum. Also it's always goog idea talking to the STAR-CD vendor directly.
