Can anyone help?
 

I am really interested in aerodynamics, but I could do with some help as the information I can find isn't detailed enough, and some is contradictory. (I am A- Level student). Could anyone try and answer these questions, as I have an important presentation to do on 'the development of the f1 car and the ground effect'. Any literature, pics or links would be great. (1) Which 'wing theory is correct? The increased distance means increased velocity and reduction in pressure, OR, the vortex principle where pressure reduction causes increased velocity.

(2) The venturi tunnels- they create a pressure drop by constriction- accelerating the air = less pressure. Any more info. on this? e.g. equations, links etc?

(1). A couple of years ago, I saw a book at a large book store (Book Star in Tempe Arizona) on Racing car aerodynamics. (2). As I remembered, the author was from the aerodynamics testing side, and he presented many charts and theories in his book, along with the various aerodynamic components of a racing car. (3). The book which matches closely the one I saw is "Race Car Aerodynamics, designing for speed", Oct.1995, Bently Publisher, by Joseph Katz, ISBN 0837601428, which is available from amazon books.
