Stratified particle-laden turbulent flow
I am studying the modelling of sediment-laden turbulent open-channel flows (with application to fine sediment transport modelling in estuaries) with the k-epsilon model. For the determination of the damping functions for eddy viscosity, as defined for the mixing length model, which is required for the bottom boundary conditions of the k-e model, and for the determination of the Schmidt number, used in the buoyancy terms and the sediment transport diffusion term, I need experimental data. Does anyone know of data, preferably including velocity, concentration, eddy viscosity and eddy diffusivity profiles in sediment-laden turbulent shear-flows, that can be used ? I need data over a wide range of flux Richardson numbers, both smaller and larger than 1. Is there any VALIDATED modelling experience with any of the readers ?
