I'm looking for a standard book on mesh generation.it should start from the very basics of the process.can anyone refer some? thanks in advance.. SANJIB

Re: MESH GENERATION
Hi Sanjib. You can look at these two books. There are much of numerical grid generation, structured and non-structured, elliptical, hyperbolic, interpolations methods, etc, for 2D and 3D spaces.
Good luck. Carlos Vilela [1] Joe. F. Thompson, "Numerical Grid Generation" [2] C. A. J. Fletcher, "Computational Technics for Fluid Dynamics", Volume I. |
Re: MESH GENERATION
Hi Sanjib,
Why not try: Handbook of Grid Generation by Joe F. Thompson (Editor), B. K. Soni (Editor), N. P. Weatherill (Editor), Nigel P. Weatherrill Although this book is not as suitable for beginners compared to some other books, it discusses many aspects of grid generation in 1200(!!) pages. Hans. |

Dear Sanjib,
Try to look at this Internet site: http://www.erc.msstate.edu/education/gridbook/ Good luck in your research, Pawel Kosinski |

If you want to look up grid generation resources on the www, here is a great site:

Re: MESH GENERATION
Dear Sanjib
You could look [George, P.L., "Automatic Mesh Generation", John Willey & Sons, 1st Edition, Masson, Paris, 1991]. This book present all the fundamental technics for structured and unstructured meshes. Good luck and welcome to the mesh generation science! |
Re: MESH GENERATION
i am preparing a solver for a stage of axial compressor to solve the Navier-Stockes equations.would you please guid me about the softwares or some available new methods on mesh generation od cascade with 8 to 10 baldes in each row?
