Dear CFD users,
I am developing a postdoc project and require info about CFD for funding purposes. I want to simulate a buoyancy-driven, two-layer flow adjacent to a sloping boundary. Crucially I need to simulate temperature, impurity concentration, secondary nucleation and crystal growth dynamics. The formation of crystals will affect the buoyancy of the upper layer. Some simple analytical results are available but I want to simulate measurements and use more sophisticated flows and parameterisations. I have seen some work on similar problems using PHOENICS but have been advised that FLUENT may be better. Any information about appropriate packages and COSTS would be very gratefully received. Many Thanks, Danny. -- Climate Dynamicist |
