PHOENICS Code

Hello, Can some one explaine to me what means the variable "CSOL" in Central Differincing scheme in PHOENICS Code (we have "QSOL" for Quick, "USOL" for Upwind...) and how it is used to compare stability of schemes.

THANKS.

Re: PHOENICS Code

In several of the library cases which demonstrate the use of various differencing schemes, CSOL is used as the name of a scalar solved using the Central Differencing Scheme, USOL is used as the name of a scalar solved using the Upwind Differencing Scheme, QSOL is used as the name of a scalar solved using the Quick Differencing Scheme and so on.

Comparing the solutions of CSOL, USOL, QSOL etc shows how the various schemes perform for the same flow simulation.

hi mehdi,i am a phoenics 3.2 user,r u using the VR thing, if yes then tell me how good it is cause i am trying some difficult geometries. how can u append the Q1 file with this VR, cause it does not show any info about the inlet outlet cells etc. saif.
