cfd workstation selection:PIII vs Athlon
 

Thanks to all who shared comments on my cfd workstation selection message from the end of May. The performance and price of an Athlon processor vs Pentium III processor do not need much thought to decide on the Athlon processor. (Example: Cdn$ Retail Price: Athlon 800 $879 vs PIII 800 $1099. With the Athlon performing +10% to +25% of PIII.) Two inquiries: (1) anyone with any performance experience with Athlon; & (2) anyone with experience with cfd software specified for PIII only, and is using Athlon? Thanks again. Bob.
