I a working with line contacts without roughness, I have made a fortran code which computes temperatures and flow velocity trhough the film thickness, however I have some problems when backflow occurs (usually in the inlet), I do not know how to change/improve the solution method (I am using FDM), with backward differences for the temperature in the energy equation, ...I have read Patankar method for CVM, I wonder if I can perform the same with FDM.
