Lattice Boltzmann

Hi,

Can anyone suggest references that give: 1.an introduction to Lattice Boltzmann method 2 discretization of the equations. 3 step by step coding algorithm.

Any possibility of getting some souce codes (just to learn LBM)?

Thanks!

Hi! It is possible to have some indications about this method in the web site www.exa.com. there are two or three publications about this subject. i hope that it will help you! Bye!!!!

Hello,

some good sources of information about LBM:

preprint server: http://xxx.lanl.gov

Books: Rothman, Zaleski "Lattice-Gas Cellular Automata", Cambridge UP (contains a lot about LBM, one of the best overviews!)

Wolf-Gladrow "Lattice-Gas Cellular Automata and Lattice Boltzmann Models", Springer

Review article: Chen, Doolen "Lattice Boltzmann Method for Fluid Flows", Ann. Rev. Fluid Mech. 30 (1998), p 329 - 364.

try www.exa.com and look for a reference to the thesis written by Chris Texiera. Exa will also send you papers if you want.
