i had seen a reference titled "filtering techniques for turbulent flow simulation" by A.A.Aldama vol 56 springer verlag newyork berlin 1990 in a paper by piomelli.can any one post what it is and where can i find it.i tried to search it in book search forum and also in the springer website.but not sucessful.

It's a book in the "Lecture notes in Engineering"-series from Springer Verlag. You can find it at amazon.com, but it seems to be out of print.

Hi,

check the article by Aldama in "Large eddy simulation of complex engineering and geophysical flows, Eds. Galperin, B. and Orszag, S.A.". It describes most of the key points about filtering (not all of them!!)

Also look for the article by Yeo and Bedford in the same book.
