Dear All,

Could anyone tell me how can I get the source code of NSIKE (Incompressible NS Solver for Unstructured Mesh), developed by Prof. Bijan Mohammadi and Gorazd medic.

I thought that I opened the links for any category of software from that page, but unfortunately I can't find the link for NSIKE.

Could you please tell me more specific address from where I can get the links for NSIKE.

hello

I am not sure where you can find NSIKE.

But NSC2KE, which is 2D compressible NS solver on unstructured grid, can be found at http://www-rocq.inria.fr/gamma/cdrom/www/nsc2ke/eng.htm.

There is mail address to Prof. Mohammadi, so what about Emailing him directly?

Thank you for your respond. You are right. NSC2KE is for compressible flow. It uses the ideal gas law to estimate the pressure profile. But what I need for my study is incompressible flow solver, which can be applied (or easy to modify) to liquid as the fluid.

I studied the code of NSC2KE. But honestly, I don't completely understand, since I don't have a good basic in method of computational fluid as well as in programming. I am the beginner who just started to learn CFD.

If you have ever used the NSC2KE, would you please tell me which part of the code (subroutine) I should modify when I want to apply it for liquid incompressible flow.

Hi

It is possible to modify compressible flow solver to imcompressible one, but it requires a lot of basic knowledge of CFD and significant programming work. If you are highly motivated to learn CFD, search Chorin's artificial compressible method, or preconditioning stuff. So I don't recommend this way,

Also imcompressible flow is not my speciality, this is all I can give you.

Hi,

I am sorry, I could not get NSIKE code. The Author of NSIKE told me that NSIKE is not a free software like NSC2KE. It is a mistake if it has been precised that NSIKE is free. And it is not for giving outside. However, you can get the document of NSIKE from:

don't get discouraged. try Quick n Simple (needs a MAC) and it's really easy to use or FEATFLOW. links to both are available in the resources section of CFD-Online. I'm disappointed that NSIKE isn't freely available. I have NSCKE and I really like it as it is easy to use but powerful. keep searching around and you'll be sure to find what you're looking for
