I'm currently performing inviscid compressible flow calculations on unstructured meshes.
When using combined 2nd/4th order smoothing, may I know what are some ways to implement this on wall boundaries without generating spurious entropy? Would also appreciate references to literature on this subject. Thanks very much. |

Hi
In my knowledge, these artificial dissipation are not implemented at walls and other physical boundaries like inlet and outlet. I would suggest you to refer the 1981 paper by Jameson on this regard. I have forgot the jounal name. Regards Apurva |

AIAA Paper 81-1259 is the original paper where JST scheme producted. I suggeste you see Swanson and Turkel's paper or NASA report which you can download it from NASA report service. In those papers Swanson analysised the 4-order artificial dissipation at the wall boundary according to the flux and conservation .
