MHD flow solvers

Hi!

Has anyone here worked on MHD flow solvers or know of any good references for MHD? I'm trying to duplicate test cases, but I think I have the wrong boundary conditions! Thanks.

Manu.

You may want to look into the WIND code distributed by NASA and AEDC (the NPARC Alliance). They have recently added a MFD (Magneto-Fluid) model to WIND. If you contact the WIND development team at the site below, maybe they can point you in the right direction.

Commerical codes can solve MHD problems by solving for the electric and magnetic fields using scalar transport equations. I know Fluent and Physica can do this so the others probably can too.

I don't know how the results compares to a dedicated code though!
