Pressure

I am undergrad student. I have one basic question, I consult different books but i need some more practical definition. How do we define static pressure, dynamic pressure and their dependency?

Re: Pressure

Take the Navier-Stokes Equations: ----------------------------------------------

Dynamic Pressure: Look at the NS eqn. This is the dynamic pressure.

----------------------------------------------- Static Pressure: For a system with zero velocity the NS eqn's reduce to dP/dx = rho g

(well it may be too much of a simplification. It would be better to say that all terms except the two stated above are negligable in the NS eqns)
