Hello,

does anyone know a reference where the solution of the Navier-Stokes equation using Finite-Volume method using SIMPLE is shown by means of an example that is calculated all the way by hand ? (e.g. 2D-Domain with 3 x 3 control volumes)

Cheers,

Peter

Sorry but, why would you want to do that?

If you are developing a SIMPLE code then look at the book Computational Methods for Fluid Dynamics by Ferziger and Peric.

They give access to the source code for 2-d and 3-d codes...

From my point of view you can understand the method better, if you can follow an calculated example ! Even it might be quite large although only 9 2D-cells are involved.

Cheers,

Peter
