I am researching flow noise over a circular cylinder within a controlled environment. I aim to determine the noise level (in db with a corresponding frequency components) emmitted from the turbulance generated by the fluid flowing past the cylinder at various velocities, and how the niose can be reduced by using different shapes, other than a cylinder. Any directions toward resources on this topic anybody could lead me to would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
