Hi, I'm looking for some elementary books/resources on Moving Boundary techniques in CFD. I'd be grateful if anybody can help...

(1). But, moving boundary is not an elementary subject.See the last chapter of Joel Ferziger's book on computational methods for fluid dynamics.

Books on the subject are somewhat dated compared to what is available in the wider literature. Various journals include articles that treat the numerical aspects of solving free and moving boundary problems.Nevertheless, you may be interested in some of the books. One I like that takes a direct approach to explaining some of the issues in an elementary and readable fashion is:
Numerical Methods for Problems with Moving Fronts, Finlayson, 1992.
though there are most certainly other books that would be helpful to someone seeking an introduction to this field. |
