Default Turbulence in Bubbly flow

I am performing simulations on an airlift reactor with a mixture model (In Fluent 5.5). Additional turbulence caused by the bubbles has to be modeled. Does anyone has experience with this or can give a hint for papers dealing with this aspect?

A large number of model extensions exist which account for the influence of bubbles on the turbulence field. Some representative extensions are described at this web address:
