I have text of solvers from SPARSKIT. I want apply solver BCG, but have some difficulty. 1) Why function distdot should be user-supplied ? 2) Where should be matrix A of the linear system ? Vector right-hand side - in array "rhs", vector solution - in array "sol", und matrix A ? And in what format ?

Hi,

The functions and subroutine which has to be user-supplied may be due to the storage format for the sparse matrix you are using.

Why use BiCG and not GMRES ? The BiGC are quite sensible.

You have to choose a storage format of your matrix /rhs etc first.

Please take a close look at the manual.

Curious what you mean by sensible. If you really mean sensible, then why ask the first question? If you mean sensitive, then please explain what is BiCG sensitive to. If you mean something else, please specify.
