Hi everyone ! I always thanks for your helpful rep.
In two-phase flow, I want to use SIMPLE algorithm. When each fluids are immiscible, doesn't it need density variable in continuity eq. ? (How can I make suitable pressure correction eq. in this case ?) And, is there a good ref. or site for discretization scheme of convective term in void fraction transport eq. ? |

You can refer to
Preconditioing algorithms for the computation of multiphase mixture flows by S. Venkateswaran, J. W. Lindau, R. F. Kunz & C. L. Merkle AIAA 2001-0279 for the governing equations. They do not use SIMPLE |

I WANT TO DISCUS SOME THING ABOUT THE "OUT OF PHASE BLOWING" AND THE USE OF CFD USE TO STUDY THIS PHENOMENA IN DETAIL
THANK YOU |

Once you go through the derivation you will see that the variation of the cell averaged densities is taken into account by the F-Advection equation, not that it is also essential to assume the flow is incompressible.
Make sure to take the density out of the pressure correction equation if you plan on solving high density flows, other than that I believe the pressure correction equation does not change. I personally would not use the SIMPLE algorithm although but few people have been able to make it work. Depends on what kind of accuracies you want for your interfaces between phases. IF high use VOF, levelset, etc.. IF medium use a High resolution scheme, if low then use a first order diffusive scheme If you search this site for VOF you will find everything you need and more... |
