Hi there,

Does anybody have a stand-alone mesh generator to triangulate a sphere surface?

Thanks for your help.

(1). If you divide a sphere into eight equal part, then each will have three vertices. (2). From there, you can make horizontal cut and further divide each band into smaller triangles.

Thanks John,

Is it possible to make all the elements equilateral and look like the same from all directions?

Yes!

Check for the keyword "icosahedron" on the net or the literature
