Turbulence integral lengthscale and mixing-length

Dear all,

Any one has idea of the differences between turbulence integral lengthscale and mixing-length scale?

Thanks!

Ray

Hi,

I'm afraid I lost the sole reference I could read as a successfull comparison between the two, although the integral length scale was a custom one (out of the top of my head.)

Briefly: mixing-length is calculated from RA flow velocity gradient, and distance to the wall (1D), while the integral length scale is calculated from fluctuating properties (but you might know it already.)
