Flotran analysis

Hi, i am a student at the indiana university and doing some research work on flotran. I am using ANSYS 5.7. i have a two dimensional model, through which i am passing a fluid(water). i apply velocity at one end and a zero pressure at the other end. when i apply the velocity on the lines, i have the options of applying it as a constant velocity or from a table. now i dont want to apply constant velocity and i want to apply different velocities say v1 after 100 iterations,v2 after 200 iterations etc. how do i do this. i want to do a steady state analysis. when try to enter values in the table what values do i specify and how to find out whether that velocity has been applied to those lines after the particular iteration. It would really help me a lot if someone could give me a solution for this.

thanks

Re: Flotran analysis

(1). As a guideline, a student should not be allowed to use a commercial code. This is the best way to help student to learn CFD. (2). Once you have learned CFD, you should be able to use any commercial CFD code easily. (still quite tedious sometimes.) (3). For using a commercial code, you have to follow the user's guide and totorial samples. Beyond that point, get help from the support engineer. (4). Just e-mail your question to the vendor's support engineer, and you should be able to get the answer. (5). I do have suggestion here: those who are experts in Flotran, are encourage to post your name and e-mail address here, so that questions related to Flotran can be sent to you. I am no Flotran user, and I am not sure that it is the code I am going to use.
