If you are totally new to FEM, you can try this book:

An Introduction to the F E M, JN Reddy.

Steady state conduction processes would surely be covered in any FEM book.

Hi Sree,

Actually I don't work in this field. In any case, FEM in heat transfer is too broad a subject. I would suggest you give more details and post another thread. You will surely get more pertinent information from others.

Hello

For FEM in heat transfer I suggest u go through the funda first.As for my knowledge goes Holman is the best one for understanding..But if u are looking at the FEM Specifically I suggest u look into the ASME Journal of Heat Transfer. It has many FEM related papers.Hope this helps.
