Could you give me some advices in CFD software?
I am current working in bio-MEMS area. I need a software to solve the problems in bio-fluids (micrometer, non-nowton, turbulence, blood, micro-mixer, micro-pump, micro-valve, ...) area. Does anybody can give me some advices of those CFD software? Thank you.

Try CFDRCs offerings.

I think CFX has been doing some work in blood, bladder flow simulation and drug injection for medical applications. Check on their site or with their rep.

Does FLUENT can be used in these area?

Re: Could you give me some advices in CFD software
Just because Fluent is the largest software vendor, doesn't mean it is the best.
I would look at a software that has a track record in this area. |
Re: Could you give me some advices in CFD software
CFDRC( http://www.cfdrc.com ) has done much work on BioMEMS. I think MEMS and BioMEMS has many things that just CFD can not handle. CFDRC's software, CFD-ACE+ is a multi-physics code, not just a CFD software.
In additon, it has good database for blood flow and binding kinetics etc. Just visit the website and you will be impressed. |
Re: Could you give me some advices in CFD software
I think STARCD has done some work on Heart Valves and Heart simulations. Give them a call.
