CFD - Weather Prediction ?

I am just curious to know, as to what extent CFD could enter the field of 'Numerical Weather forecasting'. Are there any CFD companies offering this kind of service. If so, are they commercially successful. (Certainly there might be several govement and academic institutes working in this area)
