beginning - Flow past a square cylinders

I would like to change messages and informations about the numerical simulation of flow past around square cylinders. I am student of post-graduation of University of Ilha Solteira - UNESP - brazil - Department of Mechanical Enginnering, and I am beginning my research...

This was an ERCOFTAC test case from a few years ago where various research groups predicted the flow with a variety of codes and compared results. They were interesting for a variety of reasons. You may be able to get started at:

Hi!

I would like to help you if i can.

On my 7th semester project me and my fellow students made our own CFD-code for calculations of laminar flow past a square rod.

What kind of application is this for?

You could write me an e-mail: bbb@iet.auc.dk

Try : @PhdThesis{soha98, author = "A. Sohankar", title = "Numerical {S}tudy of {L}aminar, {T}ransitional and {T}urbulent {F}low {P}ast {R}ectangular {C}ylinders", school = "Chalmers University of Technology, G{\"o}teborg", year = "1998", } It is also published in Physics of fluids 1/99 for the 3D case.

Good luck

You can also contact Ahmad directly at sohankar@tfd.chalmers.se

He is still doing this kind of work as a PostDoc.
