TAYLOR MICROSCALE

I have read that the Taylor Microscale has not real physical significance, compared to the Kolmogorov scale of the intergral scale.

I would like to know then, why the Talyor Microscale finds so much usage, and what are the benefits of using it in calcuations.

There was a discussion precisely on this topic few months ago. Perhaps, you should look at these past discussions.
