Grid generation software
Hi,
Could anyone please comment on quality of commercial grid generation software like ICEM-Tetra, ICEM-Hexa, GridGen, GridPro compared them to meshing tools in commercial CFD software like CFX-5.5, ICEM-AutoHexa and Proam ? Most of these tools does using CAD geometry. Thanks in advance. Regards Roued |
Re: Grid generation software
This depends very much on your type of application and your ability to exploit the features of the tools.
After working with Icem-Hexa and Gridpro I choose Gridpro because I can get a much better grid quality there. If things get more complicated and there is no way to do a pure multiblock hex mesh I'd probably choose proam at first. But this is just my very own point of view. If you prefer tet meshes than you might also look at Icem-Tet. |
