Standard data structure for AMR

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to make a adaptive/finite difference code resemle to AMR/netested grid method. And now, I'm confused about its data structure. I may adopt sparse data structure( i.e. to use pointer etc...), but how?

In the AMR/nested grid method, Does standard or popular structure style exist?

Will you show some references?
