History of CFD
Dear colleagues
I am trying to establish the approximate date of CFD beginning, i.e. the first documented numerical simulation on fluid dynamic. Is it possible? If so, I would like to know a good reference on CFD history. Thanks a lot Regards Kike |
Re: History of CFD
This has been discussed here several times before. I think that you'll find several good references if you check the archives. Here are a few examples of history related threads:

Re: History of CFD - 1845
Dear 12
Thanks for your answer. I read the page and I have to tell you it is a beautifull dialog, as almost everything by E.A. Poe. A complete comprehention of his piece (as is) is difficult for me because my knowledge of english lenguage is limited. Yes, we need more E.A. Poe to remember "The Power of Words". Nevertheless, "words" can be as ambiguous as "thoughts", while "quantities" are independent of "words" and they can fix "thoughts". So, for science, I prefer quantities instead of words. Re: History of CFD
Hi Prasaath,
In the cfd-online site,go to the resources page, click on the books online page and there you will see couple text books on CFD that are available online. Now-a-days so many things have become web-based. All you need to do is go to the search engine and search for whatever you want and that will give you a list of sites. Regards gita |
