My company is a leading manufacturer of rotating machinery. We have investigated several different CFD packages ranging from codes within FEA packages up to top of the line stand alone packages and just about everything in-between. Due to the nature of our machinery, it is not necessary for us to model the fluid-structure interaction.

If your company is using CFD to handle rotating machinery problems, I'm interested in why the particular package you are using was chosen (please tell me which package you are using, if you can divulge that info). In particular I'm hoping to hear from some people who have used more than one package to do rotating machinery problems and what they would recommend, but I welcome positive and negative comments from anyone in the rotating machinery arena.
