Richardson number for swirling flow

Dear colleagues.

Could you inform me any articles about using Richardson number for modeling of swirling, rotating and recirculating flows?

Thank you.

Victor.

A. Hellsten has proposed a definition that can be applied to any geometry. You can see the paper

Any expressions available for the prssure drop in a recirculating flow is requested to be communicated.Thanks.
