I'm undertaking an undergraduate research project on Couette Flow on my own. I would like to know which are the best books available on this topic. Please post the title, author, and ISBN # (if possible). Thank you very much.

There are a few books in which the Couette Flow is introduced. This type of flow was studied by GI Taylor in earlier 1923-1928.

E.g, H Schilichting, Boundary layer theory,1968, Springer.

Now, there are still many scientist who are studying this topic. You can search the Physics of Fluids,JFM, and Physics Review to see the recent advances.

Regards,

Bill

Hi there,

You will find a nice and easy to read introduction in chapter 3 of the following book: "Viscous fluid flow", Frank, M. White, 2nd edition, McGraw Hill, 1991.

I hope this helps,

Sincerely,

Frederic Felten.
