Diffusion Equation

hi ! i have some doubt about the following equations and what is the relation amongst these equations :

1. Heat Equation 2. Diffusion Equation 3. Stoke's Problem (it is not Stoke Equation nor Stoke Theorem ) 4. Fick's First and Second Law

All the equations state above have the same dimension and quite similar , quite confuse here .

and what is the relation between these equation and Poisson's Equation . i've read some book and found that Poisson's Equation is used to model these equation and other several equation . I need some brief explanation here . Thanks

Re: Diffusion Equation

these above 3 equn are similar in the sense they describe the diffusive mass flux to gradient of mass (or mole fraction) which is driving force.. similarly heat flux to thermal gradient and momentum flux to velocity gradient..so the proportionality constant is diffusive coeff for mass, heat, momentum..ie all poison eq is one type of eq which is 2 order, life del squired of some variable = function of that variable..

Re: Diffusion Equation

thanks for the information , i just wondering where i can find journals bout this transport phenomenon , i've found some in my university library (Heat and Mass Transfer Journal) , did u have any idea where i can find this similiar journal in the internet?
