Default What does the duct feel -Total or static temperatu

Please clarify If a hot fluid is flowing in a metal duct which is not adiabatic what does the duct surface experience - total temperature or static temperature. What does it feel total pressure or static pressure

Temperature : Neither total nor static. For an adiabatic wall, the wall temperature is some fraction of freestream total governed by the 'Recovery Factor' (see Shapiro 'Compressible Fluid Flow' Chap 7). For non adiabatic wall the temperature is dependent on heat flux

Pressure : If the flow is tangential to the wall, the wall 'feels' the freestream static pressure
