help about les
i just finished most code of les.but i do not know how to validate it.could anyone afford a classical case?by the way,i used no-slip BC,and i want to know the distance between the first grid point with solid wall. best wishes for u
Re: help about les
I think the best case for the validation is a channel flow. Moin & Kim (1982) in JFM is a good reference paper for this.
if u want use wall functions u don't have to bother much about resolving of flow at wall. dynamic models also provide damping behaviour at walls.
without wall functions y+ is 1. and resolving like this mean u will have problems especially with LES.
