Code for incompressible flows

Deal all,

Sorry for such silly request, but I need a short code written in Fortran, which may solve incompressible flows on staggered grid.

You could say that I can write such a code myself. That is true but to be honest I have only experience in modelling of compressible flows but now I need something else.

I will be very grateful for information where I could find something like that (or maybe some papers how to do it!)

Best wishes, Pawel

"I need a short code written in Fortran, which may solve incompressible flows on staggered grid." & "I have only experience in modelling of compressible flows" - quite interesting !! i thought it is easier the otherway round.

To some extent you are right. If you do not know anything then it is easier to learn how to simulate incompressible flows. But not in my case: e.g. in compressible flows I did not need to worry about the fact that the flow is divergence free.

Pawel

Re: Code for incompressible flows

is it that you did not write your code for the compressible flow, rather simulated using some available package. and now you want to write your code for incompressible flow.

No. I wrote my "compressible" code myself.

Now I need "incompressible" one - I know the diffrences and so on, but I am not 100% sure I am doing all right.

Do not know what kind of case for incompressible flow you are studying....

Maybe you can try the following link to get a paper: http://techreports.larc.nasa.gov/ltr...7-tm112874.pdf

I have run the program by myself on PC compaq visual fortran 6 with a little modifications. Such as the statement "cpustart = etime( atime1, atime2 )"...

It seems the original program is no problem, but when I change the value of "igov" to be 1, I wonder the program has bug inside...........

JUST FOR YOUR REFERENCE...........
