Hi all,
Can anyone tell me anything about the satisfaction of the Entropy condition by ENO schemes? I know that these schemes must satisfy the entropy condition, but I cannot see how that is done as part of a solution. I have seen some inequalities in text books which suggest you need to do a calculation on results to know if the solution is entropy satisfying. I want to know a priori. How can you ensure the "SCHEME" is ntropy condtion and ENO schemeentropy satisfying? Can someone recommend a text or paper that deals with this? Thanks. |

Hi, The book "High-Order Methods for Computational Physics", T.J. Barth and H. Deconinck (editors) - published by Springer - includes two articles dealing with the ENO and WENO schemes. However, I'm not sure if they discuss about this issue.
Best regards |

Hi,
Search the net for Engquist Osher and Sukumar Chakravarthy for ENO/WENO schemes. It's highly mathematical and one needs lot of patience to go through their papers. gita |

The book is discontinued, and not available in my library. Do you know of any other references? Thanks for your help.

Try this ICASE report:
Chi-Wang Shu: ENO and WENO Schemes for Hyperbolic Conservation Laws, ICASE Report No. 97-65. (79 pages) |
