I'm writing a code for the direct numerical simulation of turbulence.
I have a question. Is it enough to simulate only one turn over period ? |

There is no general answer to that question. It depends on the geometry, domain size, how many homogeneous directions you have, the order of the statistics etc. It some cases it might be very difficult to get reliable (converged) statistics.
