Transonic DNS

Hi,

Can anyone enlighten me on literature from DNS of airfoils (subsonic, transonic, supersonic). Has anyone attempted such flows using DNS. I am not able to find any such literature.

I am not aware that anybody has performed a DNS calc over aerofoil, at least for practical Reynolds number regime. Even LES over aerofoil was not very sucessful (see European project LESFOIL).

For DNS on a compressible wall bounded flow (channel flow) see J Fluid Mech vol. 305, pp. 185-218, 1995.
