Default Tip vortex and drag
Posts: n/a
Hello, why the winglet that can reduce the strength of the tip vortex can also reduce the drag, what is the connection between the tip vortex and drag?

Thanx, Gecko

Formation of tip vortex drains energy from the flow. This gives additional drag.
