Default Flame spread model

Hi, all

Is there anyone who could please aswer me a question about modelling flame spread using CFD code?

According to my understanding, the flame spread models, with or without taking account of the internal conduction, can be used to calculate the mass loss and enthalpy loss from the pyrolysing surface. But how to relate these two variables to other variables, for which there are some experimental data available (eg: the flame spread velocity and HRR)?

Many thanks!

Jianping
