hi,

can high CFL number (but still within stability limit) lead to an incorrect solution?

(1). It is easy to answer when you have the correct solution (theoretical solution). (2). In general, stability is not accuracy. A stable solution is not always an accurate solution. If a solution is not accurate, it is not the correct solution. (3). In most cases, we do not know whether a stable, converged solution is the correct solution or not.
