Hi, I'm a new CFD learner. I'm wondering if anyone can suggest any good book or research papers on solving 2D steady-state incompressible flow around an airfoil using finite element method. I've been searching on google for hours, but can't find anything useful. Thank you.

Not sure how you define useful, but I just typed in 'Two-Dimensional Finite Element'+Airfoil and got over 200 hits. Some of them looked fairly interesting.

I guess I'm looking for a more detail explaination in how to impose the kutta boundary condition. It seems that classic galerkin method was popularly used to solve this 2D steady state potential flow problem. But I can't find any literature going thru the derivation in details.

Hi NewUSer,

Try www.sciencedirect.com to search for some articles in journals. You cannot reach those databases through google.

good luck
