ALE in finite volume method

hi, dear all:

I am trying to find some papers or reference books on the application of ALE method in the Finite Volume method? could you give me some advice on it?

thanks a lot!

Re: ALE in finite volume method

Journal of Computational Physics, vol. 14, p. 227, 1974; reprinted vol. 135, p. 203, 1997 is one of the classical references.

Astronomy and Astrophysics, vol. 138, p. 231, 1984 has a fairly complete list of references up to that time.

More recent work on KIVA, an ALE code, is described on the web site of the Engine Research Center at the University of Wisconsin.

Dear Littlelz, You may visit : http://staffweb.cms.gre.ac.uk/~sa10/publications.html. You'll find Avril Slone's PhD thesis.

Dean, will you send me the copy of Hirt' paper, please? I need it so much, I've tried to search it (*.pdf or *.ps version) in internet and I found nothing.

Unfortunately, I no longer have a hardcopy, and I doubt that an electronic copy exists online, unless someone has a bootleg copy somewhere. The best bet for finding these old journals is to visit a library. Sorry.

A long shot would be to contact Tony Hirt at Flow Science.

The reprint of the paper, i.e.,

Journal of Computational Physics, vol. 135, p. 203, 1997

is available on-line for subscribers.

Hi

I have posted a meesage to the thread of question of LiQiang (posted on 12 May). Some of those papers give the equations in ALE in finite volume method.
